5 Tips for a Stress-Free Toronto Wedding

They say weddings are one of the most special, and stressful, moments in your life. There is a lot of time and money poured into the big day leading up to, endless nights of planning and days of organizing. But once the wedding day arrives, make sure you actually enjoy the day!

Here are some tips to make your wedding day as stress-free as possible!

Assign a Point Person

Even if you’ve planned everything perfectly, there will still be things that come up on the day. Whether it’s a caterer asking where to park or your Aunt asking for directions, these small things are bound to stress you out. Assign someone on the day to be the point person. Have them answer your phone, communicate with guests, and direct the hired professionals. That way you can sit back and enjoy the day you worked so hard to plan!

Trust the Professionals

You did your research and hired the best professionals for the day. Trust in their skills and experience by letting them do their job. We’ve been working as wedding photographers in Toronto for years and we know what we’re doing. Most professionals work best when the couple trusts them to their job! Micromanaging won’t help the pros and it won’t help you.

Focus on your Significant Other

This is your wedding day! It’s a day about the love and commitment between you and your significant other. Make sure you focus on them on this day. Take a few moments alone, pass sweet notes while you’re getting ready, and enjoy the reception. This day is about you after all; so make sure you enjoy it.

Don’t Focus on the Little Things

It can be hard to detach yourself from all of the details when planning a wedding. To the couple, the color of the ribbon is just as vital as the venue. On the day of though, remember that most guests won’t notice the little things, especially not long-term. What they will remember is how happy you were! Maybe a sign will be out of place or someone will be late, but that’s okay!

Think About After

Your wedding day is the end of one life and the beginning of another. It’s exciting to start a new life with someone. Focus on all the fun things that are coming rather than the stress that came with planning the big day. Keep your eye on all of the gifts, the beautiful wedding photos, and the memories to come!
