Weddings are both exhilarating and exhausting events. They take months of meticulous planning, but after a day of getting ready and a night of celebrating, many couples can’t wait to escape to the quiet of their honeymoon suite. The send-off is a special, but often underappreciated moment at the wedding. It’s a chance for the newlyweds to thank everyone for coming and for guests to say one final goodbye. It’s also a prime opportunity for some stunning last shots.

Sky Lanterns
Sky lantern send-offs have been a trend in weddings recently. They’re not prohibited everywhere, so be sure to check before planning on them. They look stunning in photos, but they require more planning than other send-offs. Be sure to let your photographer know if you’re opting for this idea so they can get some great shots.
Sparklers
If you’re planning an evening wedding, it will be dark by the time you’re leaving. Sparklers are a perfect send-off idea for an evening wedding. They look spectacular against the dark night sky, and they also provide additional lighting for photos. They make for some beautiful photos, and as a bonus, they’re easy to use, cheap to purchase, and don’t harm the environment as traditional rice does!
Bubbles
Bubbles are something so simple yet is enjoyed by every one of all ages. Not to mention they’re cheap, easy to use, and look great in photos! Bubbles are a great whimsical and fun send-off idea. Plus, if you’re having kids at your wedding they’ll have a blast with them!
Confetti Poppers
Want to end your big day with a colorful bang? Then confetti poppers are a perfect idea! This festive idea makes for some great photos, but just let your wedding photographer know if you’re using them ahead of time. Since they can only go off once there is a limited window to get a good photo, and our photographers will want to be ready!
Flower Petals
If you’re looking for an elegant and softer send-off, consider flower petals. Both real and faux petals make for a great send-off. The plus side is that real petals are safe for the environment, which is great for an outdoor wedding. They float down softly, which looks stunning in send-off photos!
Fireworks
If you want to go all out for your send-off, nothing does that better than fireworks. It really will end your wedding with a bang. This is a pricier option, but you just cannot beat the stunning wedding photos. Fireworks is a rare send-off, but it’s one of our wedding photographers’ favorites!
