Wedding season is coming to a close, which means that our wedding photographers have a bit of time to reflect on some of our favorite summer weddings. One that comes to mind is Vivian and Jerry’s stunning rustic sunflower themed wedding.
The wedding took place at Cranberry Creek, a quaint location just outside of Toronto that fit the theme perfectly. The ceremony took place in front of the venue’s old white chapel, which was a gorgeous backdrop. After the vows, the guests moved inside a rustic barn for the reception. The wooden barn made the pops of yellow stand out beautifully.
Rustic elements were subtly scattered throughout the wedding. The groomsmen and groom’s outfits were complete with tweets and leather suspenders and bowties.
The bride radiated in her strapless wedding dress. The lace inserts were an elegant touch that also tied into the overall theme. Her bridesmaids wore pale yellow gowns that matched the light yellow sunflowers in the bride’s bouquet.
The sunflower details were blooming all over the reception hall. They add pops of color as centerpieces and were beautifully printed on the menu. There were other rustic and vintage elements that brought the whole theme together. Old books dotted the tables, and there was a table dedicated to the couple’s love of music. Vintage records were scattered on the gift and seating chart table and also used as placemats with each guest’s name written on it.
Our wedding photographer had a blast shooting Vivian and Jerry’s wedding. The happy couple radiated love and joy as they danced the night away. Cranberry Creek was the perfect location for this sunflower filled wedding. The luxurious gardens and vintage buildings were great locations for stunning wedding photos, and also really sold the theme. The sunflowers were a wonderful choice for this warm summer wedding!
